Let It Happen/Civic Tour in Phoenix
They're album, Let It Happen, is deffinately my favorite that I own, and when the
performed on Civic Tour in Phoenix, they kicked ass. I mean, even when a fuse blew, they still kicked ass by throwing out towels and water bottels into the crowd! Yay for MxPx!!

Hey everybody! First of all, you know that MxPx is the best band ever so I don't need to go on and on about that. Getting on to my review thingy here... Most people think that MxPx is no longer a Christian band or even never were. Well, I'm not sure, they may not be anymore cuz I haven't been able to find them in the Christian music stores lately :( but they were, even
as of The Ever Passing Moment, there were lyrics about God and stuff like that, just sometimes they are a bit hidden or things are talked about as a metaphor. For example, in the first song, My Life Story, Mike is talking about doing stuff with somebody but he always has an excuse or there is some reason why he cannot. Hmm, do you think maybe he’s meaning that he was going to do something for God or something like that then something came up so he didn’t and that’s his life story? I may not be right there, that is just what I think. In addition, what do you think “It” is in the song “Prove It to the !
World”? Is it possible that the song “Foolish” has some spiritual value to it? I do not know how I got that, maybe the line about… hey, wait a sec, the whole song has meaning to it. Interesting. One Step Closer To Life: every day is one step closer to Heaven – excellent. It’s Undeniable is also a good song, talking about giving God control of your life, etc. The Renaissance EP also has some hidden meaning to it, but I won’t go into that now.
Now I know what your saying, “But compared to Pokinatcha and Teenage Politics, the Ever
Passing Moment talks very little about God.” Well, that is sad but true, but (this is my opinion remember) many non-Christians are listening to MxPx, and always have been, and if they pic up Pokinatcha where the lyrics are so bold, they might be like “Oh, I like the music but I don’t want to hear all this churchy stuff”. If they listen to The Ever Passing Moment, and they think that it is just like regular music, they will get the CD, etc and what is included with the CD? Lyrics! (with the exception of Let It Happen). So they read the lyrics and maybe the come to something that doesn’t quite make sense, like in “Foolish” when Mike says: “Some people say it’s foolish to believe in what we cannot see” they may wonder what the heck he’s talking about and maybe try to find out. That’s just the way I look at it. Most people won’t catch it but that’s when songs like “High Standards” come in handy.
There are probably other things I missed while writing this; I seem to be able to think better at 2 am but I also forget stuff cuz it’s so late. I hope I have not made this review too pushy on my thoughts, remember, they are just my opinion! Nothing else! Oh, by the way, according to Microsoft Word 2002, this review is 98.7% grammatically correct. I wouldn’t be able to write like that if it was just off the top of my head, especially at 2AM! Thanx for putting up with me through this review. Feel free to yell at/agree with me at mxpxmanghb@yahoo.ca

My friend kept telling me to listen to Mxpx but I didn't want to because there was a rumor going around at the time saying the guys from Mxpx were gay. One day my mom got me there Let it Happen CD with Pxpx skating on the front(cause i liked skating), I finally listened to the album, the first song i heard was "Swing Set Girl" and I was blown away by the rhythm and speed of the guitar and the deepness of the lyrics. Mxpx is the coolest punk band ever proving again you don't have to have filthy, disgusting lyrics to be good.
