Before Everything & After
This is definitely MxPx's most mature record ever. The new songs have amazing lyrics, and the musical aspects of them are awesome! The guys from Bremerton have definitely grown in the past 11 1/2 years, and this record is proof! The lyrics of these songs are awesome, and you can relate to them very well. Each song has a different feel to it, and makes them that more special. They have definitely reached a new level with their amazing guitar riffs, and the additional instruments they included. This record is absolutely awesome, and i encourage
everyone to check it out and help out the best band... MxPx!!! Rock on!

Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo
With so many albums having been released by the nearly 11-year-old MxPx some folks may
wonder which album of the many takes the cake. While they are all enjoyable one truly stands out: Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo. Buffalo probably has the most personality out of the albums and features some of the most enjoyable songs written by the boys from Bremerton. From the first song to the last each one is unique but still keeps the mood. If a person would really be forced to pick one album the ruled everything Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo would be it.
By: Dustin from Utah.
Slowly going the way of the buffalo starts off with a cool song, Under
Lock and Key and only gets better with my favourite song Im OK, You're OK, The
Downfall of Western Civilisation and Fist Vs Tact. By far the best CD I've ever bought. Go MxPx
By: Chris from Australia.
MxPx's latest full-length album, Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo.
was quite a surprise to hear. I put in the CD and listend to the first
song and thought, this isn't very fast. MxPx has really slowed down.
The songs are more melodic, and bring to mind Pokinatcha more than Life
In General. While I liked the fast poppy sound of Life in General
this album is the best. The lyrics are more mature, the guitar playing
slightly more complicated, and a really clear sound all the way
through. They even play some really fast hard songs, that remind me of
the Offspring rather than MxPx. Check out Fist vs. Tact.
If you are one of the guys who think MxPx doesn't sing enough about
God, this is the first album, they thanked God in the credits.
The song called Downfall of Western Civilization even has the guitarist
from Bad Religeon. If you like screaming,MxPx got some help from
90 Pound Wuss on some songs. MxPx has presented a really great album,
differnet agian from the last, and recorded to a high standard.
If you have got the money, go get it.

MxPx's album, Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo(SGWB)
shows how much MxPx has matured over the past year or two. They have
slowly progressed from Pokinatcha to Teenage Politics to Life in
General and now to SGWB greatly. Their lyrics still have a real
meaning, but yet the music still gets better by having more variations
and sounds on their newer albums. I recommend getting SGWB very much
if you are looking for good punk music, but the earlier ablums are, in
my opinion, more punk-ish sounding, if that is what you are looking
for.

my friends thought that slowly was the sell out album and so did i a
bit but the first five songs were awesome; the middle part sucked but the last
few songs were really good including the theme fiasco (which i hope is what the
new album will sound like) not their best but definitely worth it.

I'll admit, I haven't been an mxpx fan for very long. The first time I
heard about them was about this time, 99' when I saw it written on a locker
along with other band names. Later that day I was screwing around on the
internet sampling bands when I remembered mxpx. i sampled their cd Slowly Going
the Way of the Buffalo and they immediately became my favorite band.
What is so extra-ordanary about this cd? Nothing! It isn't anything never been
done before, it's just the same old-fashion punk routine that has been used for
decades. Only instead of being imature and sarcastic like other most punk bands,
It's mature, simple and honest. Instead of being a chaotic jumble of
words, it's oganised and well placed. One of the few modern bands that
can express everything from anger, to depression, to teenage love, to
partytime without frequently using th f word. Yet more proof of the
band's capability and creativity. It never tries to be the best album in the world.

I am reviewing Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo. I Think it is an
awesome CD but it has a few problems compared to some of their previous
albums. One: It needs more somgs in the CD, Two: It needs at least one more yelling
song, and Three, there needs to be at least two more hard punk rawk songs on it, and I'm talking hard. Other
than that, an excellent CD.

wow... cool album... I can honestly relate to almost every song on this
album, but from a girl's prespective. sheesh, i love all the songs!...
favorites being 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, and 13. Mighty good songs...fun fun fun,
mxpx cheers me up!...
Pokinatcha
Hey if u are a hardcore MxPx fan like me u would realize that this is there best album.
I've been listening to Mxpx since i was 7 and this is truly there best album, as i already said. I like Ever Passing Moment but thats kind of like a more emo album...I do like emo but I enjoy there before albums like Life in General and Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo...and on a further note I hope they stay on Fat Wreck Chords because the Renaissance EP sounded good...Later.
MxPx's first full length album is pretty much the same sound as 17,
but it just has a lot more of it.......21 songs to be exact!!! This record
probably wont be an insta-classic for fans of the band that favor thier poppier
sounding stuff such as Life in General or Teenage Politics. In other words, this
one is for HARDCORE FANS who have supported the band from the beginning.
Pokinatcha contains live favorites such as Want Ad, Walking Bye, and the ever so
infamous PxPx.
hey,i want to tell u all about pokinatcha!!!i started listening to mxpx
about when life in general came out,and kept on buying there new albums from
then on and didnt think to listen to there old stuff.i was at the store the
other day and the only album of theres in the store was pokiatcha,so i bought
it,and im glad i did!!! its full of hardcore punk rawk! its real raw and sounds
like the bands live act. in my opinian its the best album from mxpx!! the best
songs are pxpx, unopposed, and high standards! so if ur going out to buy an mxpx
cd check out pokinatcha!!!
The album Pokinatcha, by mxpx is one of the most notable albums by the
band to date. The albums a more up beat punk rock with less melodic BGV's than
later mxpx albums. I like the songs "Unopposed","PxPx",and"Walking Bye" just to
name a few. I would give this album 4.856745362 stars because it's not perfect.
All you have to do is check it out for yourself.
I think the album Pokinatcha is MxPx's best one because it was their
first so they don't sound as good and I think that's cool.
Let It Happen
MxPx is the best band on earth! And now I like them even
more! Once I got "Let It Happen", their 32 track album of B-sides and
unreleased tracks, I fell in love even more! These guys obviously
weren't screwing around when they made this album...It has something
for everybody. From slow catchy pop-punk to fast heavy pure punk rock.
I was never critical about this album. I can't get it out of my CD
player cause I love it so much! If I had to pick any of MxPx's albums
as my favorite, this would definatly be it! If ya gotta few bucks in
your wallet, use it to buy this album! It's great, and I'm sure that
you will agree!
Let It Happen I think is kind of a MxPx greatest hits album...because
it has most of their best songs that they have. It rocks.
Hey. I really love this cd. I sing it all day in school and then listen
to it when I get home. Oh, and yeah~~~ Mike is REALLY HOT!!!!!
This is an overall great cd!! It's a collection of b-sides, 7" singles,
and never-released songs. It has different versions of songs like Want
Ad, Do Your Feet Hurt, Move To Bremerton, Chick Magnet......
there is 32 songs on this cd. If you want to find those singles just
pick up this great cd!! (I got it for 8 bucks at circuit city!!!!) If
you collect MxPx music, this is a must-have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! This is one of Mxpx's best albums! Even though it is
contriversial with t&n and all... its really awesome! Its the first Mxpx album
I bought and it hasn't come out of the cd player for a month!! If you are just
getting into MxPx this is the best album to get first.. it has a real variety of
their music and helps you decide which cd's you want.. its really cool.. also
the little booklet its full of pictures of mike:o), tom :o), and yuri! I
definatly recomend this cd to anyone! And I was supprized! for 32 songs! it
wasn't that expensive!
Oh and sorry about the spelling! you can figgure it out.
Hey all its Jaaacob with my review of "Let it Happen" the MxPx album of
B-sides and rarieties. MxPx told tooth and nail not to release Let it Happen but
they still did. Normally i would be ticked that they disobeyed MxPx's wish but
these songs are to awesome to not be heard. As I am sure all of you know, MxPx
is changing its style and thats why they didn't want Let it Happen released. The
new style rocks but the old stuff did too. This album was jammed with top notch
songs from start to finish, and deals with all the life issues there are. The
first song on the album is "Never Learn" it is about a guy who likes a girl that
treats him bad, but he still loves her. Just a couple songs later is a song
called "Sick Boy," which is a cool sounding song that grabs your attention.
Following Sick Boy is a cover of Ritchie Valens "Oh Donna," and it was done very
well. "Thoughts and Ideas" shows that MxPx really can do things quick and still
make it rock. "Elvis is Dead" has that Greenday sound to it but sounds
really pretty good. it is a song of a guy who keeps hearing Elvis talking to him
in his head. Song 16 on the album is the best. "Let it Happen," the song. This
song is a quick fast pace song about love and what he wants in life. there are
tons of other songs on this album plus a few unreleased versions of the
favorites like: Want Ad, Chick Magnet and South Bound." by this time i am sure
that you all have already heard this album which means you have no excuse to not
have it, but if ya haven't heard it go buy it. IT ROCKS
this is prob the best cd mxpx has put out! in my oppinion it has the
better version of move 2 bremerton. its a collection of the best of mxpx over
the years! if ur a diehard mxpx fan u got 2 get this 1! itll make u cry and itll
make u mosh!
"Let It Happen" is about the best MxPx album you could buy, aside from
"Teenage Politics". It's got a good mix of their pop-punk and their hardcore
stuff. Listening to it staight through is like watching a good movie or reading
a good story. It has a good opening, great middle section and awesome closing
section. I like all the songs, but I like the version of "WantAd" best because
Mike has fixed it into a nice sort anthem. All their albums kick, but this one
is the best.
The Renaissance EP
You gotta get their new cd, it's only $8 on www.fatwreck.com, and the s/h is only two,
that's ten bucks! It's an awsome cd. Letting go is one of my favorite songs.
Life In General
This album is without a doubt MxPx's most phat-nasty release to date.
The sound quality alone blows away most other punk bands' recordings.
The music is phenominal with rocking, adrenaline filled riffs and
super tight drumming. Music so precise, you could play it to the sound
of a metridome. The lyrics are so "teenage" and yet so very mature.
Without question, "Life In General" has carved out a niche for MxPx in
the history of "pre-millenial punk rawk".
This cd rocks and the radest song's on it are Chick Magnet, Andrea, and Doing
Time. Just thought I say that MxPx rocks and so do all their cd's and they should
become more popular and the cd is the best and I love how Mike sings on this cd
and the guitar and drums make it perfect so go out and buy it. Later guys.
If you're into punk music that grabs you and pulls you in, MxPx's
"Life In General" is the album for you. Packed to the brim with 17 songs, the
catchy melodies and harmonies along with mind blowing guitar riffs, back
breaking bass lines and disgustingly fast drumming keep you coming back for
more. But what makes this album so much better than your average pop-punk band
are the lyrics. Mike Herrera (singer/songwriter/bassist) gets his point across
with awesome lines like "Don't make me out to be / Something that I'm not / I
never said I was anything / So don't expect me to be!" from 'Your Problem, My
Emergency' or "There's only one one world but there's many different tastes / So
enjoy, don't employ your state!" from 'Sometimes You Have to Ask Yourself'.
Herrera also shows his sentimental side in songs like 'Move to Bremerton',
'Andrea', and 'Do Your Feet Hurt'. Lines like, "If ever there was a girl to be
engaged to / That amazing girl would have to be you" from !
'Andrea', or "Do your feet hurt
/ Did you fall from heaven? / Cuz you've been runnin' through my mind all day /
My mind don't mind!" from 'Do Your Feet Hurt' let you know that he's not your
typical guy. With just the right amount of variety to keep it interesting,
"Life In General" will keep you listening until your CD player breaks.
The Ever Passing Moment

Teenage Politics
this album isn't as fast as I thought it would be, but it was still
good. some songs were a bit too whiny and slow, but "punk rawk show" and "study
humans" and "delores" made me want to get up and play guitar all day long. mxpx
really have shown hard work on this album, so if i had to give it a rating, i'd
give it probably an A.
Punk Rawk Show
At The Show
I fell in love with mxpx after seeing them in concert. I really went to
see Blink 182 (which is a good band), but knew very little about mxpx. I walked
out of that concert with a new favorite band. If you haven't seen them in
concert do, it's amazing. I think that's what makes this album so cool, it's
like being at an mxpx show. Eventhough the only new song is the cover of kkk
took my baby away it is sooo worth having. It's a definite must for all you mxpx
fans out there who love the band!!!

Pokinatcha has to be the greatest MxPx album of all time. Albums like life in general are still amazing but not as good. Pokinatcha is a little more hardcore and is better to slam-dance to.

Let it Happen is one of the best albums i have ever heard in my life, which isn't long,
but anyways, MXPX is the BEST punk band out there and Let It Happen gets a 10 out of 10 in my opinion.

I freaking love this album. First of all the song Party II just makes me wanna dance I love it. The harmonies a chord progression they got goin just simply rocks. Punk music at its best. Im really glad that throughout the years MxPx has stayed the same with minimal changes in their style and whatnot. Listening to this next to Teenage Politics makes me realize how close
they sound together and kudos to the band for that. If this EP is a sign of what they have to come I cant wait for their next CD to come out in Spring or whenever it comes.

this cd is amazing.
all of the songs are good and 70% of them are amazing. with hits such ans doing time,
move to bremerton and chick magnet. this cd is the best of them all. MIDDLENAME is one
of the best songs. a very upbeat tune that you catch yourself humming the tune to all
the time. Move to Bremerton isnt as fast but is the most catchy tune ive ever heard.
Doin time is one of my other favorites with lyrics that are all ways in my head and
although it is a short song it is packed with good guitar playing and good singing throughout.
cristelena is also a very catchy song that much you smile when you hear it because it is
so good. all the other songs are great on this cd but i dont understand y ppl like chick
magnet so much. i think it is the worst song on the cd. also how did do your feet hurt get
vote for second best mxpx song of all time? anyway, BUY THIS CD AND ANY OTHER MXPX CDS NOW!!

I am very happy with
MXPX's new CD The Ever Passing Moment. It may not be the fastest MXPX CD but it delivers
with sweet guitar riffs and Mike has definently become a better song writer. This CD sounds
more like the CD Greenday should've came out with. Grade A.
By: Andrew from Riverside, California.
This is the debut recording of Magnafied Plaid (better known as
MxPx), whick is 4 songs of pure adrenaline-infested punk rock power. It all
started here. The first song, 17-I Saw Her Standing There, is a cover of an old
Beatles song (like you didnt know that already). This song is my personal
favorite. Other notable songs are Suggestion Box and The Absolutely Cheezy as
Can Be Song, which is a little cute song about a bike. All and all, this 7inch
shreds like a blender on puree. Punk friggin Rock!!!!!!!
By: Jeremy from North Carolina.
The second full length from MxPx Has a more catchy, melodic sound,
as opposed to the raw, raunchy, garage punk sound of Pokinatcha. Nevertheless,
it still has that fast paced beat that makes you just wanna go nuckinfutz. These
19 songs are the perfect soundtrack for your endless high school life (as it was
for mine) with songs such as the classic Punk Rawk Show, Teenage Politics, and
Rainy Day.
By: Jeremy from North Carolina.
By: Dave from New York.
Here's another 7-inch for all of you vinyl vermin out there from the
greatest band in the world, MxPx!!! This one is the single for the infamous
track number 4 on Teenage Politics (cmon! you know that at one time if not still
that the repeat button on your cd player was designated for that song!!) There
are 3 more songs that grace the grooves of this record, such as that on MxPx b
side that everybody loves, Let it Happen. In my opinion, So Kill Me is the best
song on this one. All b sides on this record are leftovers from Teenage Politics.
By: Jeremy from North Carolina.
At the Show, the new MxPx live album is definitely worth the money if you are a big MxPx fan. The Ramones cover of KKK Took My Baby Away, Cold And ALL Alone, Punk Rawk Show, and the Downfall Of Western Civilation are all great on this cd. Plus it is cool to hear the band talk and everything if you have never been to one of their shows. So go out and get it now, cause it is AWESOME!!!!
By: Andrew Hernandez from Michigan.
By: Margaret from Denver.
i think it was pretty cool when mxpx let out an album of old songs put to a punk rock rythym. it may not have been ther best album ever but "on the cover" was a pretty cool cd.
